WORK DESCRIPTION
- Lead overall process plant operations, including CIL circuit, crushing, grinding, elution, and
electrowinning, to meet production and recovery targets - Set annual plant production budgets and operating targets, and hold department heads
accountable for delivery - Drive plant-wide metallurgical accounting, reconciling recovery, throughput, and reagent
consumption against budget - Lead root-cause investigations into plant upsets, bottlenecks, and off-spec performance, directing
corrective action - Oversee plant maintenance planning in coordination with the Maintenance department to maximize
equipment availability - Manage and develop process plant superintendents, metallurgists, and shift supervisors across the
department - Ensure the plant operates within HSE and environmental compliance requirements, including
cyanide management protocols - Represent the process plant in senior management and operations review meetings, reporting on
KPIs and improvement plans - Champion continuous improvement and capital project initiatives to lift plant recovery and reduce
unit operating costs
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a
related field - Minimum 10–12 years of process plant experience in gold mining, with mandatory hands-on CIL
processing background - At least 3–5 years in a senior plant leadership role (Process Plant Manager, Superintendent, or
equivalent) - Strong command of gold processing circuits: crushing, grinding, leaching, adsorption, elution, and
electrowinning - Proven track record improving plant recovery, throughput, and cost performance
- Solid understanding of HSE, environmental, and cyanide management regulations in mining
operations - Willing to be placed at a remote mine site and follow a roster-based work schedule
- Strong leadership, budget ownership, and cross-departmental coordination skills
