Applying to PSI: How to Send a CV That Gets Noticed
At PT People Search International (PSI), we review a high volume of applications every week — both by our recruitment team and by applicant tracking systems (ATS). A well-prepared CV moves faster through both. Here’s how to give yours the best chance.
1. Send Only Your CV — No Cover Letter Needed
We assess candidates based on experience, skills, and achievements captured in the CV itself. A separate cover letter is not required and will not speed up your application.
2. File Format: Word or PDF Only
Please submit your CV as a .doc/.docx or .pdf file. Other formats (images, scanned copies, presentation files) are harder for our systems to process and may cause delays.
3. Keep It Concise: Max 200KB, Max 3 Pages
A compact file uploads faster and is easier to review. Aim for no more than 3 pages and a file size under 200KB.
4. Text Over Graphics
Avoid decorative photos, icons, charts, or graphics — recruitment software reads text, not images, and heavy graphics can cause your CV to be misread or rejected. The only exception is a professional headshot, which is optional but acceptable.
5. Structure Each Role Clearly
For every position you’ve held, include:
- 5 key points describing your responsibilities
- 3–4 major achievements, ideally with measurable results (e.g., “Reduced processing time by 30%”)
This structure helps recruiters — and ATS software — quickly understand your impact, not just your duties.
6. Write Simply and Directly
Use clear, straightforward language. Short sentences and plain wording are easier for both human recruiters and screening systems to interpret accurately.
7. Leave Out Heavy Attachments
Please do not attach ID cards, certificates, diplomas, or reference letters at this stage. These add unnecessary file size and are not needed for initial review — we will request specific documents later in the process if required.
8. Mind Your NDA
If you’ve worked on confidential projects, be careful not to disclose proprietary client names, financials, or trade secrets that may be protected under a Non-Disclosure Agreement with a previous employer. Describe your role and results in general terms where needed.
Following these guidelines helps your application move faster through our review process and ensures nothing important gets lost along the way. We look forward to reviewing your CV.
