Marketing Communications Manager

Our client, a leading family theme park in Bali, is seeking a skilled Marketing Communications Manager to spearhead their brand and communication strategies.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic professional with a proven track record in managing PR, media relations, and marketing campaigns. This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills to drive brand awareness, build strong relationships with media and partners, and contribute to the overall success of the Company.

Responsibilities

The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of PR, media coverage, brand exposure, strategic and brand partnerships, community relations, and content and communications on a local and global scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly report to the Head of Marketing & Communications Manager
  • Coordinate and assess partnerships, sponsorships, merchant partners, and brand partner requests
  • Drive sales and tactical promotions to maximize revenue generation
  • Manage PR and media relationships
  • Plan and execute in-park events and activations
  • Support the execution of the Sustainability Marketing Plan and related communications
  • Coordinate communications for CSR programs and build relationships with local community outreach programs
  • Oversee project management and coordination within the Marketing team to ensure successful campaign execution

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Partnerships & Relationship Building:
    • Manage and maintain marketing partnerships, building strong relationships with key partners and the community business network.
    • Oversee merchant partnerships (banks, etc.), support sales with marketing communications for hotel partnerships, and manage sponsorship requests and FOC ticket allocation.
    • Build and manage relationships with local media, government contacts (Ministry of Tourism, etc.), and partners, finalizing agreements and coordinating activities.
    • Communicate partnership successes to management and the team.
    • Foster community outreach and relationships with local community programs.
  • Sales & Tactical Promotions:
    • Manage sales promotions, ensuring alignment with marketing communications.
    • Oversee the entire promotion lifecycle, from planning and development to execution and reporting.
    • Brief the creative team and prepare promotional assets (flyers, stories, videos, ads, etc.).
    • Communicate monthly promotions to management and internal departments.
  • PR/ Media:
    • Manage relationships with local media, press contacts, and blogs in Bali and Indonesia.
    • Handle media requests, prepare press kits, and share information and images with media regularly.
    • Execute the PR strategy, send press releases, and track media coverage and PR efforts.
    • Maintain media and partner contact databases.
    • Support media or partner filming requests and supervise content creation as needed.
    • Coordinate local advertising and media plans.
  • Events & Activations:
    • Manage and supervise all events and activations, coordinating with departments and managing budgets.
    • Oversee in-house promotions (e.g., F&B promotions), press/media lunches or hosting events, and internal event support.
  • Communications/ Content/ Copywriting:
    • Update website content and develop copy for press releases, newsletters, website, blog posts, and other materials.
  • Awards & Recognition:
    • Identify and submit awards or industry recognition opportunities, securing support from partners.
    • Promote the company’s credibility through sustainability practices.
  • Admin/ Reporting/ Assessment:
    • Ensure effective communication and feedback for all projects, including post-activity reviews and assessments.
    • Manage project deadlines using Asana, creating tasks, briefs, and tracking deliverables.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize results.
    • Maintain clear communication between Sales and Marketing departments.
    • Keep management informed about marketing activities and promotions.
    • Track budget and expenses, preparing monthly reports for management and the CEO.
    • Coordinate marketing activity calendars and monthly campaigns.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in PR, marketing, communications, copywriting, brand strategy, media relations, social media, or digital marketing with relevant education.
  • Hospitality/tourism experience preferred.
  • Strong media connections in Bali and Jakarta.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesian.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Proactive, energetic, and team-oriented.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Google Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides, Canva, and Asana.
